Verslag Tour De La Manche

Van 26 tot 29 mei werd ik geselecteerd om de 4daagse rittenwedstrijd Tour De La Manche te rijden !

 

Er moesten 4 ritten en 1tijdrit werden afgelegd .

 

Rit 1 : was een zware rit van 170km met af en toe zware hellingen en een lastige finale , jammer genoeg werd Jorden afgerekend met pecht door een zware valpartij in het begin van de wedstrijd . Ik hield mij goed vooraan en kon meespringen op elke aanval , op het laatste vielen wij aan met een man of 25, we reden goed rond maar konden de eerste 2 renners niet inlopen , in een spurt met 25man werd ik mooi 8e van de groep en 10e in de rit.

 

Rit 2: was een tijdrit over 9,4 km , ik werd er mooi 6e met een gemiddelde snelheid van 45km/u en 2e belofte !

 

Rit 3: Was een rustige etappe met een vroege vlucht van 5man , de ploegen controleerden en in een masasprint werd ik 21e

 

Rit 4: Een rit van 160km met een heel lastige finale op het einde , er reden veel renners weg maar nooit werd er een ontsnapping ontstaan , op 50km van het einde reden er 3 renners van de franse ploeg ETUBES en reden in hun eentje naar de koplopers toe van 5man , die hielden ook stand tot op het einde ! ! Ik probeerde nog veel aan te vallen maar jammer genoeg reed er niemand mee en werd ik altijd ingerekend , in een spurt van 40 renners werd ik in totaal 22e in de rit en in het algemeen 8e

 

Rit 5 :  een loodzware etappe met als slot een opeenvolging van hellingen en lastige stukken wind aan de kust van de stad Granville . Er reden 25 renners weg in het begin va de wedstrijd en het peleton probeerde te controleren maar lukte niet , de snelheid lag niet hoog genoeg . na 82km lag de 1e helling van de dag er , en daar viel in aan . Toen kwam er de helft van het peleton er weer bij, we sloegen 2km verder naar links en daar was de volgende helling ! 1tje van 2km met steile stukken van 18% .. ik voelde mij zeer goed en viel aan halverwege en reed met ploegmaat Michael Cools en de Gele leider in het klassement ! we kwamen nooit dichter dan 30seconden op de eerste maar op een stuk naast de kust , kwamen de overgeblevene en geloste van de kopgroep bij ons en werkten samen om de kopgroep in te halen , maar toch konden er 6renners voorblijven tot het einde ik kon

nog goed meeschuiven en aanvallen en

werd heel mooi in de spurt 11e en daarbij als 1e jaars belofte een prachtige 10e plaats in het algemene klassement !!

 

Als 1e jaars is dit een prachtoge ervaring en een deugddoende prestatie en kan ik heel mooi terugblikken op mijn 1e seizoenshelft !
