Van 22 april tot en met 24 april stond de 51e editie van de franse rittenkoers op het programma die in de Bourgondië streek werd gerreden  .

 

Er stonden 4ritten op het programma . Door een enorm sterk deelnemersveld waren de ritten heel zwaar en werd het redelijk lastig bergop ! er stonden 120 renners aan de start met daarbij veel franse ex-profs

 

Rit 1 : 122km stond er op het programma .  Begon met een minder gevoel , er werd heel stevig doorgekoerst , er waren 2 korte kleine stukken van maar liefst 1km met een stijging die maximun 22% bedroeg . ik kon me naarmate de wedstrijd goed postvatten vooraan en spurtte op de laatste 500m bergop naar een 24e plaats .

 

Rit 2 : De ochtendetappe ( start om 9u30 ) van zaterdag werdt een regenritje . 88km met maar liefst een gem snelheid van 45km/u was het , er moesten na de rit in lijk nog 3plaatselijke ronden afgerond worden van 5km . Daarbij bleef 1renner alleen vooraan en won , ploegmaten Piet , Cedric ,Cristophe en jordi en Lindsay reden naar een 2e , 4e ,5e ,10e en 20e plaats , ikzelf werd 23e

 

Rit 3 : De kortste etappe van deze ronde ( 62km) werd weer een snelle wedstrijd met weer maar liefst een gemiddelde snelheid van 45km/u . Ik hield me zowat heel de wedstrijd goed vooraan en De laatste 5km heb ik geprobeerd om op de kop de snelheid te controleren om men ploegmaten goed te kunnen afzetten maar dit was veel te vroeg .. zelf heb ik dan kunnen spurten voor een 20e plaats waar liefst heel de ploeg in de 1e 20 is gearriveerd !

 

Laatste rit : Dit was de koninginnerit (155km)  met maar liefst 2hellingen van 1e categorie en 1 van 2e categorie en 1 van 3e categorie . na 20km reden er 3 renners weg en werdt heel de koers tot  op 28km van de meet alles gecontroleerd door de ploeg van de leider . vanaf de voet van de 1e zware beklimming van 5km werdt er fors doorgetrokken en kon ik met alle moed vooraan plaatsen . Even kreeg ik het moeilijk maar eenmaal het ritme er was kon ik doorrijden en kwam ik ongeveer als 20e boven op de 1e categorieklim ! inde gevaarlijke afdaling reden we met een uitgedund groepje van 30renners naar de laatste kuitenbijter van de wedstrijd en die was niet de makkelijkste , maar liefst 1km bijna aan meer dan 15% naar boven was het . Ik plaatste me niet goed vooraan en bijna boven brak de groep in 2 en kwam ik net te kort (50m) om de bres de dichten .. In de afdaling kon ik een paar renners nog inhalen en me postvatten in het wiel van de leider en probeerde ik te storen omdat Piet en Christophe weg waren zodat ze nog seconden konden sprokkelen . Op 250 m zette ik aan en spurtte van een groep van 15man naar een 2e plaats in de spurt en zo werd ik 22e in de daguitslag .

 

Met als einduitslag werdt ik 22e in Mijn eerste rittenkoers als belofte ! Dit was een heel leerrijke ronde , Hierbij wil ik al men ploegmaten proficiat wensen die me de moed gegeven hebben daar nodig !
