We stonden met ongeveer 70 renners aan de start in het stormachtige moorslede-vierkaven .

De koers werd betwist over 14 ronden van 8,5km en startte om 15uur

 

In het begin van de wedstrijd bleef alles goed samen. Er werd af en toe een aanval geplaatst maar even later werd er toch fors doorgereden .

 

Iets halfweg wedstrijd reden wij weg met een kopgroep samen van 15 renners . Op het lange stuk tegenwind naar Moorslede werd er af en toe gespeculeerd . Op 6 ronden van het einde waagde ploegmaat maxime de poorter een kans en die kon hij grijpen en reed met een andere renner ( latere winnaar ) een voorsprong bij elkaar van 30seconden !

 

2 ronden later  waagde ik mijn kans om naar de kop van de wedstrijd toe te springen en reed samen met Siske Aneca het gat toe op de vluchters .

 

Vanaf wij erbij waren bleek dat er een kleine groep van 5 nog dichtbij ons was en toch op nog 1ronde van het einde bij ons waren gekomen

 

In de laatste ronde werd er slag om slinger aangevallen en deed nog zoveel nodig om een aanval te kunnen plaatsen en andersom om maxime de kans te geven ,maar tevergeefs .

 

Op 3km van het einde ging het licht uit .
