Gisteren stond zowat de mooiste wedstrijd uit mijn leven op het programma! Mijn allereerste Ronde van Lombardije voor Beloften in Oggiono !

 

De wedstrijd bedroeg 163km met maar liefst 1740hoogtemeters . De start was voorzien om 12u .

 

In het eerste uur hadden wij maar liefst een gemiddelde snelheid van 47km/uur ! dit was enorm snel ! Na 80km was er een massale valpartij ! Hierdoor waren wij met 15renners plotseling weg op 10km van de eerste helling de Madonna Del Ghisallo ! een klim van 8km met een stijging van maar liefst 8% ! in het begin van de klim kwam uit de achtergrond de overlevenden van de valpartij terug en voegden hun samen met onze groep ! 8renners kozen het hazenpad en reden de rest aan flarden bergop .

 

Ik kon mij heel goed vooraan houden en reden met een man of 30 naar de rest van de wedstrijd !! Met stevige tempoprikken reden we de laatste 2 bergen op van ongeveer 3km lang en zon ontstond er een kleine groe van 20 renners ! het was te doen voor de eerste 30  prijzen toen . de laatste 10 km was het lastigste van allemaal ik probeerde een aanval te plaatsen en maar het ging niet zo gesmeerd door de stevige concurrentie ! in de sprurt van mijn groep kon ik nog een 6e plaats bemachtigen van mijn groep tegen renners van Klein constantina en Dimention data Development team ! ik werd heel mooi 28e in meijn eerste UCI wedstrijd !
